SL-3101 Dual Photopic / Scotopic Illuminance Meter
The SL-3101 Solar Light photometer measures both photopic and scotopic illuminance and automatically computes the S:P ratio of the light source under test. Using two sensor heads connected to a single portable meter, the SL-3101 provides a more meaningful measure of the effective illuminance of light sources under low light level conditions. The measurement of S:P ratio is called for in BS 5489-1:2012 Code of Practice for Design of Road Lighting and in the ILP’s Professional Lighting Guide, PLG 03 (2012).
The Solar Light SL-3101 is a portable and innovative illuminance meter which incorporates a dual sensor head spectrally matched to the CIE photopic and scotopic observer functions to report the S:P lux ratio and better assess the visually-effective performance of street lighting products. This meter is intended to be used by lighting design professionals, researchers, lamp and ballast manufacturers, and energy management consultants.
Applications for the SL-3101 include architectural lighting design, lighting efficiency measurements, energy efficiency design and scotopic / mesopic lighting research.
