Luminance Photometers & Colorimeters
Spot luminance meters are used for measuring the "brightness" and colour of a defined area (or 'spot') on a display, sign or other light source. Luminance is measured in units of candelas per square meter (cd/m2), or nits for our American friends. Our range includes luminance photometers, tristimulus-response luminance colorimeters and advanced "spectral colorimeters" that provides a colorimetric accuracy approaching that of a spectroradiometer but at a fraction of the cost. If you need to measure the luminance or colour uniformity (for example, of displays or instrument panels or LED arrays or video screens), you may wish to consider a ProMetric Imaging Photometer. For the highest accuracy and for colour rendering measurements, you should consider a spectroradiometer.
