Laser Safety for Handheld Applications

For all users who use both conventional and laser welding and who appreciate the functionality of a welding helmet, we offer, under the claim ENGINEERED LASER PROTECTION three different helmet designs. These were developed especially for use with hand-held laserdevices in close co-operation with one of the leading manufacturer of welding helmets, the Swiss company Optrel.

Laservision offers a range of advanced welding helmets designed for users who engage in both conventional and laser welding. Under the claim “ENGINEERED LASER PROTECTION,” Laservision provides three distinct helmet designs developed in collaboration with Optrel, a leading Swiss manufacturer of welding helmets. These helmets are specifically tailored for use with handheld laser devices and incorporate certified laser protection systems.

The Panoramaxx model stands out for its excellent field of vision and high wearing comfort. The Panoramaxx Hybrid models, certified to EN 207 and EN 379 standards, feature an Auto Darkening Filter (ADF) for glare protection. These helmets also boast a panoramic field of vision, six times larger than standard helmets, thanks to an ergonomic nose cut-out. This design not only enhances visibility but also maximises comfort with IsoFit headgear.

Key features include certified laser protection (DI LB7) across the entire cover area, comprehensive classic welding protection in the Hybrid models, and the patented ShadeTronic® automatic darkening system that adjusts to changing welding arc conditions. The Hybrid CLT model offers Clear Lens Technology for optimal brightness and a grinding mode for grinding work. Additionally, these helmets are available with the Swiss Air PAPR (powered air-purifying respiratory) system, further enhancing user safety.

The Panoramaxx helmets have been recognised for their innovative design, winning the German Design Award in the gold category. Suppliers of Personal Protective Equipment are legally required to ensure that what we supply is fit for purpose. To that end, Pro-Lite will recommend the appropriate laser safety eyewear (filters and frame) to suit your specific laser. We will calculate the protection levels required according to EN207, EN208 and EN60825 based upon your laser specifications and the let you know which eyewear models are suitable.
