X-Ray Protective Eyewear

The new Radiation Protection Act, which has replaced the old X-ray regulation, aims to provide better protection for occupational groups that are regularly exposed to ionizing radiation. X-ray protective goggles were and are an indispensable tool in this respect. With the increasing use of X-ray equipment during surgery, their importance has increased considerably in recent years. This development is closely linked to the stricter regulations on the occupational lifetime dose and the maximum annual dose of ionizing radiation. The protective effect of conventional X-ray protection eyewear is generally no longer sufficient under the new conditions and requirements.

This has inspired laservision to develop a family of new X-ray protection eyewear. They are characterised not only by the protective effect of the lenses, but also by the additional protection provided by the frame material and its design. This protects in particular against radiation entering from below under surgical conditions, while the side design protects the temple area.
