Whether your application requires just motors alone, or you have a need for one of Nanomotion’s specialist optronic systems, there is an evaluation kit to suit your development needs.
All of the evaluation kits come with a motion module, a controller / driver with PC or I2C input, a power supply, universal connectors, and a USB drive containing the relevant application software, and are presented in a portable carry case for easy handling and storage. The exception to this rule is the XCD2 evaluation kit, which has been designed purely for configuration of the 2-axis XCD2 controller and contains no mechanical motion module.
The EDGE 4X™ Evaluation Kit provides a pre-assembled motion module. The motion module includes:
The evaluation kit includes the Nanomotion XCD Commander for communication with the Controller/Driver. The user can operate the stage in open loop using the XCD Commander, or write programs in the Nanomotion XMS script for operation in closed loop.
RS08 Rotary Shutter Evaluation Kit
Evaluation kit for the RS08 Rotary Shutter. Nanomotion offers a variety of Evaluation Kits that include a single operating axis with a drive and control and the Nanocommander control interface. These kits support an easy start up, to command the axis via IIC, with all necessary cables and power supplies.
The Shutter Evaluation Kit is provided as an autonomous unit, based on the RS08 NUC (Non-Uniformity Correction) Shutter series solution, allowing a simple interface to customer FPGA/PC. The kit supports two modes of operation: the GUI Mode, and the FPGA Mode. The GUI Mode, enables the user controlling the kit using the NanoCommander application, installed on user’s PC. The FPGA Mode enables the user control the kit using the I2C communication.
S787 Linear Shutter Evaluation Kit
The Shutter Evaluation Kit is provided as an autonomous unit, based on the S787 NUC (Non-Uniformity Correction) Shutter series solution (read more information on www.nanomotion.com), allowing a simple interface to customer FPGA/PC. The kit supports two modes of operation: the GUI Mode, and the FPGA Mode. The GUI Mode, enables the user controlling the kit using the NanoCommander application, installed on user’s PC. The FPGA Mode enables the user control the kit using the I2C communication.
XCD-Edge Controller Evaluation Kit
Nanomotion’s XCD drive/control and Edge motor is the smallest industrial motor of its kind available in the marketplace today. Providing unlimited linear or rotary motion, the Edge motor offers extensive opportunities in applications that suit a wide range of industries. The Edge motor works with a uniquely designed, XCD Drive and Control board, also available as a programmed chip integration to customer electronics. The Edge can be easily integrated into most bearing structures, and is ideal for mass production opportunities.
XCD2 Evaluation Kit
XCD2 Multi axis amplifier & control board is a dual axis OEM amplifier and control board designed for applications using the Edge & Edge-4X motors. The board level product serves as a dual axis controller and can support a mixture of motor configurations, with multiple Edge motors or multiple Edge-4X motors per axis.
he XCD2 supports 2 axes of motion in the AB1 or AB5 mode of operation. It is an advanced 32-bit ARM 168MHz floating point processor with a configurable servo rate, up to 20KHz.
