Piezosystem Jena Multi Channel and Modular Amplifiers

Precision Amplified: Advanced Multi-Channel Controllers for Nanopositioning Excellence

Multi channel amplifiers and controllers from PSJ come in 3-axis benchtop models and rack mounted modular solutions of up to six channels are also available for larger nanopositioning systems.

Because the practical resolution of a piezo actuator is dictated by the resolution of the input voltage, using a low noise piezo amplifier is fundamental to achieving the best possible positioning performance. Piezo amplifiers from PSJ are inherently low-noise, with a large range of communication options including purely analog 0 – 10 V input voltages as digital interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, and SPI. Integrated PID controllers can be added for closed-loop operation with either strain gauge or capacitive sensors for the highest levels of linearity and position stability.

Dynamic performance of piezo actuators is dictated mostly by the output current of the amplifier and the capacitance of the piezo material. To this end, piezo amplifiers from PSJ provide a wide range of output currents, allowing them to be suitable for any positioning requirement be it static, quasi-static, or dynamic in nature.
