Hinalea VNIR Ultra Hyperspectral Imaging System

Hyperspectral imaging for laboratory research, microscopy and photon-limited applications

The Hinalea VNIR Ultra is a next-generation visible and near-infrared (VNIR) hyperspectral imaging system designed for researchers who require exceptional spectral accuracy, high spatial resolution, and outstanding low-light performance.

Covering the 400–1000 nm spectral range, it captures 301 spectral bands at 4 nm spectral resolution, enabling precise material, biological, and chemical characterisation across a wide range of scientific applications.

Key Benefits of Hinalea VNIR ULTRA

  • 400–1000 nm spectral range
  • 301 spectral bands
  • 4 nm FWHM spectral resolution
  • High-sensitivity 2048 × 2048 sCMOS sensor
  • No mechanical scanning
  • Excellent performance in low-light conditions
  • Microscope-compatible design
  • ENVI, Python and SDK integration
  • High spectral and spatial fidelity for advanced research applications

The Hinalea VNIR Ultra combines advanced Fabry–Perot Interferometer (FPI) technology with a high-performance 2048 × 2048 pixel sCMOS sensor to deliver premium hyperspectral imaging performance for laboratory and microscopy environments.
Unlike conventional scanning systems, the VNIR Ultra captures full-frame 2D images at each wavelength without mechanical scanning, producing high-quality hyperspectral data cubes while preserving spatial accuracy and simplifying system integration. The result is rapid, reliable spectral imaging with outstanding image quality across the entire 400–1000 nm wavelength range.

Engineered specifically for demanding and photon-limited applications, the VNIR Ultra provides exceptional sensitivity, allowing researchers to acquire high-fidelity hyperspectral data from low-light samples without excessive exposure times. With 301 spectral bands and 4 nm FWHM spectral resolution, the system enables detailed spectral analysis for advanced research, materials inspection, life science imaging, plant science, fluorescence studies, and microscopy.

The system integrates easily with standard microscopes and custom optical setups via an SM1 mount, with support for C-mount, F-mount, and additional adapter options. Hinalea’s software platform and SDK provide streamlined acquisition, analysis, visualisation, and export to ENVI, Python, Hinalea software, and other third-party environments, making the VNIR Ultra a powerful and flexible solution for advanced hyperspectral imaging workflows.
