CID Bio-Science CI-202 Laser Leaf Area Meter

Rapid, High-Resolution Leaf Area Meter for Plant Research Measurements

The CI-202 Portable Laser Leaf Area Meter is a palette-style leaf meter that measures leaf area, length, width, and perimeter, counts voids, and calculates geometric shape factor and aspect ratio.

The CI-202 is easy to use right out of the box and measurements are accurate, precise, and repeatable. It is ideal for applications in plant physiology, forestry, environmental research, agronomy, ecological studies, phenotyping, horticulture, climate research, and educational purposes.

The CI-202 can perform for hours at a time in the field, and data is easily transferred to a computer with the supplied USB connector. The CI-202 is virtually maintenance-free with no servicing required under normal conditions.

The CI-202 Portable Laser Leaf Area Meter by CID Bio-Science is a versatile tool designed for precise leaf area measurements in various applications. It is widely used in plant physiology to analyse changes in leaf shape and size, aiding in understanding plant functions.

In forestry and environmental research, the CI-202 allows non-destructive measurements, enabling researchers to collect essential data without disturbing natural habitats. Agronomists utilise this tool to optimise crop production by tracking crop health in response to environmental and nutritional changes. Additionally, the CI-202 is valuable in laboratory and field studies for measuring leaves, needles, and seeds, providing accurate data for statistical analysis. Its portability and ease of use make it an essential instrument for ecological studies, phenotyping, horticulture, climate research, and educational purposes.
