Advantages of Spectral Evolution Fibers and Connection Design
- The Spectral Evolution fiber brings the signal straight to the slit (the fibers are terminated in a rectangular shape) for better signal capture and better data meaning no loss of signal, no internal fiber-to-fiber optic coupling and no trifurcated fiber connection inside (signal goes straight to detector).
- Accurate measurement with a consistent uniform field of view capture – avoiding 1/3 of the signal going to each fiber and a separate detector.
- No loss of data due to loose connections—The fibers are precisely aligned with a keyed entrance.
- The removable fiber can be easily replaced in the field without sending the instrument back to the manufacturer.
- The fibers are highly polished and have a metal armored jacket for increased ruggedness.
- The instruments use a fiber quick release mount to make connecting different accessories fast and easy.
- The PSR+ instrument also offers direct attach lenses for accurate measurements with no fiber and no loss of signal due to fiber.
