Temperature Control During Sun Protection Testing

The THERMASTER is specifically engineered to control and ensure substrate surface temperature during in vitro solar testing, adhering to various standards. It is fully compatible with PMMA substrates molded HD6 and sandblasted SB6.

The metal support, with the substrate on top, maintains temperature by inertia during the weighing and application stages, which take less than 2 minutes.

The THERMASTER has been specifically designed to control and guarantee substrate surface temperature during the in vitro solar testing process, in order to comply with the various standards.
Fully suitable for PMMA substrates molded HD6 and sandblasted SB6 the metal support (with the substrate on top) is used to maintain temperature by inertia during the weighing and application stages (less than 2 minutes).

Directions of use

The THERMASTER developed by WENEOS is an easy-to-use thermal enclosure that maintains the substrate surface temperature throughout an in vitro solar test:

  • Switch on the unit and set the desired temperature
  • Position PMMA substrates molded (HD6) or sandblasted (SB6) on the metal supports
  • The metal support with the substrate resting on it is used to maintain temperature by inertia during the weighing and spreading steps using the robot SPREADMASTER robot (usually in under 2 minutes)
  • The substrate is placed back on the THERMASTER (in the dark) to ensure surface temperature control during the drying stage
