Integrated Test Systems for Laser Rangefinders & Target Designators

Santa Barbara Infrared (SBIR) offers an extensive family of test systems to test and characterise laser range finders, designators, illuminators and spot trackers. Custom solutions also available.

The SBIR range  of laser test modules and sources includes the Laser Rangefinder Test Module (LRTM) tests ranging accuracy and receiver sensitivity, while the Boresight Alignment Module (BAM) is designed for aligning multiple infrared, laser and visible imaging systems to the same point in space. For pulsed lasers, the Temporal Energy Module (TEM) provides a method of measuring the pulse energy, pulse duration and pulse width in a single instrument. The Pulsed Laser Diode (PLD) target projector provides a uniform, collimated pulsed laser output at 1064nm. Last but not least, the Multi-Spectral Source (MSS) offers both an integrated differential blackbody with dual pulsed laser sources.

The Boresight Alignment Module (BAM) is used to co-align multiple imaging systems to each other and to laser transmitters.

SBIR Boresight Alignment Module

The LRTM performs range accuracy and receiver sensitivity tests on laser rangefinders and laser receivers.

SBIR Laser Range Test Module

The MSS is used for simultaneous boresight and image resolution testing.

SBIR Multi-Spectral Source

The PLDTP can be used for testing both laser receivers and detectors, and also alignment of quadrant detectors.

SBIR Infinity Pulsed Laser Diode Target Projector

The Temporal Energy Module (TEM) is used to perform energy and pulse diagnostic tests on laser transmitters.
